My Eatonia. Model 39 I think, with pictures. To scope, or not to scope, that`s the...

I will send you a hundred bucks to buy an already drilled-and-tapped Cooey 39 from the dealer of your choice.

PM me your email address and I'll send you an EMT.

Get on the EE and check stores for an already drilled and tapped rifle. They are all over the place. Do not bugger up something with so much family history.

For that matter, do not bugger up something with so much Canadian history. Cooey and Eatons -- long gone relics of a time when Canada was a real country and not some post-nationalist virtue-signalling tyranny-in-waiting run by soy boys and ugly, hateful opportunists.

Humph.

That is a very kind offer Sir.
Thank you, but I could not let you do that.
I did not realize I had another page of answers to my thread.
You guys are all right, no drilling and tapping will be done on the rifle.
Thanks a lot for your input.

Can I send you a few bucks to buy some ammo for your next outing with it?

All that said - and it should be noted that a lot of what wrote earlier today was truly tongue in cheek - picking up a similar model that's already drilled and tapped is worthwhile. I put scopes on my Cooey 60's because the holes were already there. It's surprising how accurate those old girls are. (The only open sights I'm good with are K31's - I really need scopes on everything else.) If you come across one with holes, don't hesitate.
