My experience with the M1 Garand and with Zdragunov & TacticalTeacher

Really interested in a range report when you get the muzzle break! I want one too (the M1A version for the 22" barrel), just wondering if it makes any difference in accuracy/ barrel harmonics? Most of the breaks I have seen on rifles were pretty brutal for everyone else on the range but the one you are getting seems to be a little milder for those shooting beside you!

I briefly tried out the Smith Enterprize Muzzle Brake on a Tanker copy of the M1 Garand and my VAR Garand. You definitely want to check it for loosening after a long string of firing.
BTW, recoil was reduced to about the equal of a .223 in both the .308 and 30-06 rifles.
It was such a long time ago I cannot remember the group size at 100 yards. But I was pleased with the results. Take that for what it's worth folks.

ill make sure to check the fit after a few clips. ill put some of the norinco 308 through it as well since that stuff runs much hotter then new commercial 308.

i will be reloading 308 for the garand using PPU brass. Ill play around with the loads until i get a load that can cycle the gun but just barely. with the brake that would mean practically no recoil and less stress on the gun's moving parts.
