I finally got back from shooting the Fabarms today... very smooth.
Smooth was the first thing that came to mind immediately after pulling the trigger for the first time, ejecting the spent shell then chambering the next shell. I was pleased.
Oh, and incase anyone was wondering (I sure was) the sight picture on the blade only version is a variation of the 'Center Hold'.
Basically the entire blade-only covers the intended point of impact.
I was shooting at 25 yards with trap loads when I discovered this
Fabarm seems to change out parts like Ross did. One poster pointed out that the older Pro Forces guns had a larger safety button, but no longer. Some guns have gold triggers, some have different types of trigger pins. Now the guns come with an extended full choke. We never really know what we will get till it arrives.
I've sent 5 boxes of the Winchester #2 SuperX and a box of slugs downrange now and all I can say is this SG is sweet . The pump action is so smooth.
Slugs kick like slugs but the sound this SG makes gets the attention from other shooters at the range.
The horizontal wear marks (as mentioned earlier in this thread) on the reciever caused by the slide are minimal, hardly noticeable, and not an issure with me.
The plain front blade sight is not as accurate shooting slugs as my buddy's Mossy 590A1 with Ghost Rings but he was so impressed with my Fabarm that he bought one just like it!
Just rushed a couple pics... the things I love most are the 14" barrel (muzzle ends at the waist) and how light it is.
The bonus is that when I have it slung in this manner (when viewing me from the front) you can hardly tell I have a shotgun slung (pretty cool)
I also have a quick detach incorporated near the front sling point - I made the sling from a bunch of sling parts I've collected over the last little while. I went to a shoe repair place to have them sew it together where I needed it sewn (under $10).
TSE I believe are the Fabarm importers (if anyone else has them, they got them from TSE). The Karbon finish looks like Carbon-Fiber, no idea on what it actually is (probably just paint of somekind).
