Hey guys. First off, very nice. I'm currently deciding between a Fabarm 14" and 20", picking one up on Tuesday. Use is casual hand clays, camp defence, shooting random targets in the woods. :) Just wondering how you feel about your 14s, if they're your only shotgun, and any regrets about not getting a longer barrel length. Cheers.

shorter barrel= lower round count. 14' has a capacity of 4 rounds. Some people want higher capacity, which means longer barrel.

HrrrrM! if it was my only shotgun I wouldnt go with a 14" but I guess it depends what you want.

Clays- Can be done but not optimal, mainly because less barrel= tracks less as you follow a moving target in the air. One of my favorite thing about these guns is the fact that they come choke threaded so even at 14" you can get alot more functionality especially for stuff like clays.

Clays is the cheapest, most amount of fun I have with my shotgun- I cant afford to or withstand the recoil of shooting slugs all day. So thats the most important thing for me anyway.

Shooting targets/camp defense- Wonderfully pointable @ 14", super easy to carry unless you like it done up like robocop.

check out the 870s, my brother has an 18" barrel that he can easily swap out for a 24" barrel when he feels like it. prolly the best "1 shotgun" solution IMO, theres also the benelli nova in 24".....

The Valtro was OK... I always liked my Fabarms better... I have had 3 14" ones... I sell for other projects than regret it later... kinda like now.... just a twinge.

The big regret was the Browning BPS High Capacity (7+1)... that I should have kept.

The Fabarm shortys look pretty darn sweet, heck the more shorty shotguns the better I say :D Theres gona be WWIII in the gunsafe I can see it now, the PM5 & SuperNova team up against a Fabarm... I dont know if Id be able to sleep with all the commotion :D

Very sweet shorty rig BTW OP!!!!
