My factory hunting rifle shoots between .5"-.75" all day! Really? Prove it!

Well done, I notice folks are measuring outside to outside on groups and not the standard center to center, rather making this a small bore's contest eh?

Ardent; if you look at the reading on the caliper, and then compare it to the group size, you will see that the group size is exactly one bullet diameter smaller than what the caliper reads.
This makes measuring very small groups relatively easy.
As UTG mentioned, measuring inside to outside of most distant holes does not work where all bullet holes overlap.
Regards, Eagleye.

Had to remeasure and grab a calculator my math skills are pretty crappy lol

I almost got it. Just that one group had to mess things up.
Groups: .61, .476, .665, .647, and .774
Average groups size is .634"

Man, I want to give this challenge a whirl but I have no range, not enough ammo and it's as cold as charity out there! Maybe I'll see what the 308 at work will do shot off a snowmobile seat.

Congrats to the guys that have succeeded at the challenge. This one's a toughie, as UTG has proven over, and over, and over again! No wonder powder prices are so high!

good shooting guys. I only have one rifle that meets requirements, my Ruger no1 300 Win Mag. I'll take it out and give it a try soon!

I just got my new trigger spring from yodave. Once I get it installed and load up some more ammo I will try again. Hopefully next weekend.

I just ordered a Weatherby Vanguard S2 Reaper Camo in .338 Win Mag. Would it qualify for this challenge with the so called " #2 Contour Barrel "??? It's a hunting rifle and not ear a bull barrel in my opinion. This would be a #3 or #4 contour barrel according to Weatherby to be a varmint, heavy or bull barrel. Whichever you want to call it.
