my favorite hunting rifle would be

Favorite Hunting Rifle

I like the first two on the list

Sako Mannlicher in 270
Remington 700 BDL 7-08 with a Stainless Rem Mountain rifle barrel.
Ruger No1 AB mod in 7 X 57

Now that I have my permit to hunt from my truck I will probably use the Ruger No 1 because of its length and action.

Like Others I've had alot of "Favourites" come and go......
However I guess the Rifle I grab 1st from the rack now would have to be my Titanium in 260........I just love to carry it
Or rather I love not knowing I'm carrying it;)

Tikka T-3 270WSM with a tuned Muzzle break and topped with a VXIII 4.5-14X59 B/C reticle... this rifle is light, accurate and has very mild recoil. It is my favorite all around rifle right now with 140 grain accubonds @ 3200fps.

For me, it has been my Rem 700 in 338 Ultra. This year, I will be using a Rem 750 Carbine in 35W.

I bought a few spearguns last year, and this year ;)

ok, yes, my 90cm MA is a favorite too. laminated Teak, how can it not be? ;)

(Could have bought 2 Rem 700's for the same price though :S )

First one out of the safe for every hunt is my old Remington model 742 Woodsmaster in 3006 and a 4x Bushnell scope. There are many others but it's always there.

Most of the time my Sako AV 300 WIn mag, now that I put a mcmillan stock on it I'm not afraid of marking up the pretty wood one.
When just whitetails are on the menu I will be shooting my Kimber 84m in 308 this year, by that time of year there is no moisture left, it's all frozen.

Sheesh, what a question! That's like asking a golfer what his favourite golf-club is!:runaway:

I would have to narrow it down to two; for long range, my Savage Model 112FVSS in .270 WSM with 140gr Nosler Ballistic Tips; For "closer" range, my Stevens Model 200 in .308 Win with Leupold 1x4 scope and 150gr Hornady BTSP handloads.
