My finished 870/grizzly mag tactical build and duracoat project..thoughts? *Update*

Not to burst the bubble but is arma coat not the exact same thing and plentifully available for a very reasonable price and comes in many colors. See www.arma-coat.ca. They sell $69 spray kits that will do 2 rifles. Is this basically the same thing as duracoat? The logo even looks the same

That looks like it would be a bad a$$ truck gun. Awesome job on the duracoat. How well does the vortex hold up against the recoil and What's the set up on that gun run you if you don't mind me asking?

Total cost me about $900.00, vortex holds up great! They are rated even for the BIG guns. Thanks for the compliments

That's pretty fvckin rad... Oh god... I just said "rad". Lol.

Yes you did! And thanks!

How well does duracoat handle imperfections? I'm thinking of using it instead of reblueing a receiver that has some slight rust pitting.

well they also make durafill which will fill any holes, pitting etc you can even use it to fill in the lettering or engravings on the receiver. I used it on one 870 and removed the remington 870 lettering on the side. it's really great stuff

Hey there... Replied on another thread, but what you need for the Dominion Arms receiver stud is a "6mm metric socket head cap screw". Length will vary, but I needed a 70mm for a kicklite stock.

Looks like Dominion Arms switched their tooling from Imperial to Metric at some point. Grrrr.

Ao: just wanna say thanks for the info on the metric bolt. I didn't want to mess around recapping threads so sourcing the bolt was the best solution.. It was a pain finding it in cow town but found it at a mom & pop hardware supply. Thanks again all. Next step duracoat!
