Well was about time, got my first 10/22 from a brother Gunnutz.
I was not sure what to do with it, but after re finishing the stock with linseed oil. I kind felt in love with the old school wood look, So no T22 for now

I actually never fire the gun, but I had a vision of the look I wanted with that wooded stock. So, I ordered a Dlask 12.5" barrel with the Bentz chamber.

The stock barrel channel is made for a normal contour barrel so I had to oversize it. I used a broom stick with 40 grit sand paper to start and finish up to 220 grit to oversize it.

I am not familiar with 10/22, I remember reading that free floating the barrel will not give you optimum accuracy, Is this right ?
Should I bed the whole stock action and barrel ?
What exactly is the best thing to do with a 10/22 in a wooded stock.

I also added a extended mag release.

Still work in progress but I like the look so far
I will need Optic and a rail. Any suggestion would be appreciated
Maybe a muzzle brake would look good too.

I also got some shotgun goodies from Dlask.

Really like the look of that 10/22 great job. As for a rail you already seem happy with Joe so grab one of his 1/4" or 1/2" inch reversible picatiny rails. Very nice piece and pretty good price. Cheers

Yes, that's correct.

Not really.

I see that you are genuinely interested in doing the things right.
Why don't you spend some time reading on rimfirecentral dot com.
It is the holy place on internet for anything 10/22.
You can start with this thread:

Man-o-man....that 870 looks REALLY out of place in those photos. Send that pesky thing to me, I'll take care of it for you. :)

Nice work on the 10/22, that actually looks pretty slick. (and I'm no 10/22 fan) Don't start slapping picatinny rails on it...maybe some compact, glossy old Scopechief or something like that would be cool.

Thanks guys.

Dr. this is exactly what I was looking for, I will probably do this very soon.

No rail on this gun, I am not a rail fan. I will probably got with a small scope like 2.5-8x36 or a 2-7X33. I also want to replace que charging handle and maybe some trigger group parts. My guess is that with the bentz chamber I will need a new extractor. I will probably know this week end

I couldn't wait anymore, I stop and pick up a scope on my way home.
Le Baron didnt have any scope rail in stock, I guess I will order one from Dlask if I can figure out which one I need :-/

Picture sucks I know. I went with a Vari-X III 2.5-8X36mm
Now I can't wait to try it.

I love that wood stock on that shorty barrel. The only thing that bothered me with
my set up was not having iron sights as primary or back up aiming. I ended up installing a UTG rail to rectify that issue.

I can't get over how much like the look of the short barrel and dsp stock. I have an 11.5" dlask and a beauty dsp walnut and your making me think they should maybe have a wedding. It's classic and modern all in one.

like another member stated. something about that just does not look right. I also think its the short barrel. if it was 3 inches longer, I think it would make all the difference. but the quality of the wood is wonderful
