So today I drove out to Summerland to meet Mysticplayer for lunch. After lunch we went to blast some targets at long distances :).

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to go to the short range to test my bedding job and loads on paper but I get the feeling that rifle and hand loads are shooting MOA or better (won't know for sure till I hit the 200yd range).

The weather was pretty damn good for Nov 5th. Little cloudy, wind in the 5-10MPH range (with maybe some higher gusts). If I had to guess I would say it was probably about 10°C.

We set up first shooting at about 500yds. Mystic didn't even tell me the distance (and I didn't ask) until after I had already hit a bunch of stuff :D

The red dot is about 500yds and the yellow is about 750.

I had a great time and hit a bunch of stuff. Loads of fun :D

Thanks again Mystic!

HOT DAMM!!!
That looked crazy fun. I probaly couldn't even hit it @ 300 all day. But then again you had mystic helping you out.
By any chance was this done out in Kelwona region?

Wally, my pleasure. It was a lot of fun and you are a natural. That rifle has alot of potential so work up some loads and I bet it shoots a lot better now that it is bedded.

Glad you got a few hits on the GOPHER. Given how windy it was, that is great shooting.

500+yds is just a chip shot and...

1000yds, not that far anymore is it?!!!

All he did was tell me how many times to turn the knobs on my scope and then pointed me at things ;)

Yeah man, Summerland... 30mins south of Kel.
was that crown or personal land? looks like fun! can you locate the 1000y target?
Crown. Yeah, here are the pics with the targets marked.

Nope, not that far :D The biggest thing is the location. That spot is pure gold.

Oh no, not you too... earlier this year also shot Jerry's .223 and now I suddenly own two .223s...

We're pretty lucky to have Jerry as part of our community, really enjoyed my day out with him too - there's a lot to learn.

I couldn't agree with you more ! :)

X3

I have not had the pleasure of shooting with Jerry but he did assemble my new build for me. It is a 22-243 Middlestead and my first attempt with a wildcat. Let’s just say he has been more than helpful with the constant barrage of questions I have had for him as of late.

Look like a great time. I am going on my first 1000yrd shoot this weekend cant wait wish I had someone to tag a long that could share a few pointers .
