Just got my first 1022 of my life. :dancingbanana: Been wanting one for a long time but never got around to buying it, and frankly i just rediscovered the pleasures of that little caliber. So i've been roaming the net looking at some possibilities of that little thing and decided to keep thins simple. Just gonna polish the trigger assembly and put in an over travel ajustment on it. might get a 17 mach2 barrel in the future just to be able to switch around ounce in a while. Gonna take it out to the range tomorrow to brake it in:D . Got 4 different type of ammo to see witch one it likes the most.

Congrat's on your first 10/22. I have had mine now for about 3 years and you will love the customizing options that are available. You can have that gun look one way one day and then look like a completely new gun the next.

I bet it woun't be your last 10/22. You now have been bitten by the bug:D

i have some real high end rimfires but nomatter how many anchutz's or Hamerlis you have that little 1022 speaks to me it was my first gun and it probably without bs has 50000 rounds through it, wise purchase and yes guns speak to me!

well just got back from the range today to try out the little thing and i just love it. I tryied 6 different types of ammo with it just to see wich one it liked and Lapua came in first with a 10 round group of about the size of a quarter at 25 yards. In second came the CCI stinger. Now all i need are a couple of high cap mags! There's only 1 thing i don't like about my 1022, its the bolt release, i can't believe the amount of fu...ing around i have to do to release the bolt.

Glad it worked out for you.

Having CCI stingers shoot so well in it is (IMHO) a big plus!

Yes, the magazine release can be a bit irritating. I don't see how I have gone through about 4000 rounds with-out replacing it :D

Look at the sticky

on the rimfire section of the board. It has a quick fix for the bolt release.

In regards to the mag release, take it off, set it in a vice, drill a hole and epoxy with JB or Marine tex a piece of SS rod. Extended bolt release. You could even use a SS bolt with the head cut off.

10/22 Parts

This is a fun little rifle. I just got my first one this year too. Look on-line at rimfiresports.com , they have great prices and free shipping in Canada. I got the quick bolt release, the recoil buffer, and a 1" extension for the stock.
