My first 1911....I want more

Well got my first 1911 a couple days ago. A Kimber Custome II TLR/RL. havent shot it but so far I love it. I'm a 1911 newbie but fit and finish look to be very good. I love the trigger, very smotth and crisp with minimal take up. The night sights are very useable even in lighter conditions. Only thing I'll probably change is the grips just to brake up all the black. Can't wait to shoot it. The only problem is I'm already looking at the next 1911 I want. Girlfriend says she wants a stainless because they look in her words "bad ass". Man I love this addiction.

I think your looking at it wrong. The way I see it now I have to get another one if I want to compete in the classic division.

Kimbers can cause a 1911 addiction. Repeat after me: My name is ###X and I am addicted to 1911.

Now the next step is reloading 45 cal brass to help ease the cost of feeding the Tactical II Entry.

Warning ! after firing your first string your addiction will increase exponentially. LOL.

1911 - 45 value on tight budget ?

Hi all -

Looks like I hit the right thread - I am looking for a 1911 to get me some .45 cal mileage and one pistol entry to Centerfire & 45 categories. Which gun you think - below 1 K and no modifications could be the ticket?

A kimber can be had under $1000. There's also the Ruger 1911 for about 700. Or you can go the cheaper way with a SAM or Norinco.
