700 VSSFII in 204R wearing VXIII 4.5-14x40BC in gun metal with Leupold PRW rings and bases. Love the HS stock. Just needs Mag conversion, Vbull??

Same stock as my R5, its okay eh? Action looks similar too jewelled bolt and all but R5 not fluted, dimpled or anything like that.

Had a DM, thought it would be all that and more, now really like the blind magazine on another rifle - from one extreme to another. Blind magazine cant forget/loose/come loose/not seat right/... Would first see how you like this configuration.

I may have to get a versapod myself (just have shooters ridge now with a lever added to it), looks like a solid mount.

Nice looking rig.

I have a CZ Kevlar which has the HS stock which was one of the main reasons I bought this rifle, it was also one of thos deals I couldn't pass up, rifle has less than 100 rds, came with dies and a whack of dies, brass and bullets for $750, already had the scope which I originally bought for a 17hmr, sold the 17, wasn't impressed with the terminal performance, thinking the 204 is much better and cheaper to reload than shooting the 17.

Thanks guys, will be trying it out on coyotes but will probably be my main gopher rig.

You will love the 204 round.... amazingly flat shooter and I kill coyotes with 204 all the time. They are deadly well beyond 300 meters and I want to try longer distances too. My opinion is it gives up very little to the 22-250. If the gun is a shooter, you will never look back.

I'm in the middle of looking for a VSSF II in .223. I've got the CZ-527 Kevlar as well :D. Good choice in rifles!!!

Nice gun. If you are thinking about a mag conversion and you hunt coyotes forget about it! The first time you drop the clip in the snow you will understand! Tacticool and hunting don't always mix!

Nice rig, especially dig that gun metal VXIII. How much did the package set you back?

this is not a jab at you, i have noticed a trend on here lately that when someone post their new toys someone always asks "how much"

everything in the picture is available at pretty much any gun shop in Canada figure it out yourself...

sometimes its hard to gauge used rifle prices...and sometimes, when there's gunsmithing involved, it's even harder. My $0.02

Nice Rig it will shoot if you do your part I have 4 rems had one gun with D mag after buying third mag did not enjoy it as much and a ##### to singal feed with out mag have fun with the new toy.

I tend to buy the best I can for the best price. I really like the HS precision but I can't justify the price on one. Not when I can get similar performance from a rifle costing half as much. For the price of the HR I'd probably go custom.

Also the 5R isn't exactly the same :D. The barrel isn't fluted, and the stainless is "Satin" ie bead blasted for a more tactical look (The same as my RCMP duty pistol).

I bought into the 5R hype. Some have found the rifle didn't live up to their expectations. With 168 Federal Gold match here's what my two 5 round groups at 100 yards have yielded (I haven't shot the 5R much due to time and the $1.80 a shot costs of the ammo. As Lineofsight stated I need to be reloading). You be the judge:

These aren't "picked" targets. I've only shot two 5 round groups with this rifle (I haven't had much of a chance or the ammo to go shoot it more). Plus I make no bones about it, with a rifle I"m only maybe an intermediate level shooter. This isn't "my skill" this was the rifle shooting the way it should.
