Hey Everyone,
I know this has been a long time coming, and I have left you guys waiting as to what I had! Well wait no longer!
I bounced between a few different rifles for quite awhile (over a year), with Steyr, AI, and Sako all being strong contenders... The entire time knowing that this would be my first and only rifle.
In the end I opted for a Steyr Mannlicher (Pronounced Man Licker? Just kidding) SSG-08 .308. I have always been a huge fan boy of Steyr, and with what I could gather from reviews and opinions, I would not be disappointed. The rich heritage of the "Green Gun" and Steyr also did not hurt.
So with that being said I will now post some pictures, later will come my feelings and opinions on the rifle, as well as some pictures of "proof" of how it is shooting for me (benched at first). I'm sorry if the pictures are not of perfect quality and lighting, but circumstances would not permit, I will update the photos when I can take pictures in the optimum settings. And will also add more pictures as I add my scopes.
The first three photos are of me opening it for my first time when it was first purchased
All photos here after are assorted and at a private residence
Left to Right: Bolt // Sling Mount // 10 Round High Capacity Synthetic Magazine // Interchangable Pistol Grips // Versa-Pod Bipod
Top Down Without Bolt
Adjustable Buttplate and Cheek Piece
Cold Forged Barrel Showcased (Forged over a mandrel that has the lands and grooves imprinted into it)
Top Down With Bolt
Folded Stock, Left Hand Side
Folded Stock, Right Hand Side
Steyr's Patented Monopod (Capable of quick adjustments as well as precision adjustments)
Muzzle Break
Down The Barrel POV
Top Down, Side View (Left)
Case that it came with
So yea, I am really excited to have it... cannot wait to shoot it and learn to be proficient with it (Field Strip with eyes shut ??
)
If you have any opinions, feelings, or questions feel free to ask!
Thanks to all in the community for your help and continuing support,
