Here is a picture of my first ar build,a M16A1 semi clone...everything is colt original except the lower which I opted for an Armalite M15 lower...lpk is also all colt M16. Furnature is old USGI A1 stuff. I didn,t refinish any of it,I like the look of it. What do you guys think?

Excellent example! While the barrel profile is a difficult change without rebarreling, you should try to find an A1 or duckbill flash suppressor for another realistic touch. The straight slip ring is especially nice.

Had my old girl for over 20 years now.

Get lots of people asking about her when at the range, never jammed, and shoots Norinco 55 grain yellow box ammo great. Pretty accurate also have a CMMG rimfire kit for cheap days of shooting but nothing like the blast of 5.56 from a 11.5 inch barrel. :)

Simple in design with NO batteries required just good old irons and my Colt scope clone with see thrus. The sliding stock is a all metal 3 position.

This 80s SGW left the factory as a CAR-15.

You should try to find an Armson OEG for that - the first red dot sight, it was a solid metal body with a tritium dot in the center. You had to keep both eyes open, and your brain superimposed the dot on to what you looked at - works amazingly well.
