My First AR build process :D As budget as possible

Well this will be my 3rd AR15, But my very first build. Iam trying to do it as budget as possible, As it goes right now its coming along fairly nice and cheap.
I know a AR build is nothing new for alot of you, but Iam excited and wanted to share my progress.

Parts I bought and what they cost me

Lower = SFRC blemished, from sfrc of course $65
Upper = Aero Precision, from arms east $135
Armalite 14.5" Barrel Assembly with Gas tube, From the EE $150
Buffer and Castle nut, From GP tactical, $30

Total so far $380

Parts I had from take offs
Milspec buffer tube from Daniel Defense
Magpul milspec CTR from Daniel Defense
Armalite Pistol Grip
Armalite charging handle
Norinco carry handle
Daniel Defense end plate
Armalite commercial carbine stock
Random carbine hand guard
Daniel defense muzzle brake(May or may not put on)

Parts I need or have coming
Lower parts kit minus grip, Still looking for a sale or a used cheap set
Action spring, Going to try and track one down for cheap hopefully
DPMS BCG, A friend of mine is giving me one for free!, But I'll give him a few bucks
I want to find a commercial buffer tube as well, I want to run the old school carbine stock.

And a photo of course.
 
I have two lowers sitting in my safe, my initial plan was to build the lowers out and than purchase complete uppers, but now I'm toying with the idea of building the uppers as well. Is there any special tooling I'd need in order to do so?

PS, looks like you'll have one nifty build!

I have an AR 15 tool/wrench that I used tighten the barrel assembly to the upper, It was about 25$ when I bought it a few years ago, As for putting the lower parts in Iam not sure, I'll see what I need when I get there, but every other project I've done on pistols or rifles I've got away with the tools around the house/garage

And thank you, Should be pretty run of the mill but as long as it goes bang and not boom I'll be one happy camper

I put the barrel on, Ended up swapping flash hiders as well but not before I took the photo, Sorry for crappy cell phone pics

Good start but you could have purchased a less expensive upper then the $135. Not insisting it's a bad choice because AP is a good product, just a little more then you need for a budget build.

I started getting a little impatient in my EE searching, missing 2 that were posted cheaper so I got fed up and ordered one. It's nice it came with the FA and dust cover though.
