After months of scroungeing parts and tools, I've finally completed my first full AR build. Here it is:

CGN Dlask 701 lower
DPMS fire control parts kit
DPMS AR15 bolt group
Anchor Harvey A4 flat top upper
Rock River Arms 6-position stock
DPMS target-style grips
Badger Tac-latch
Dlask free float tube front fore stock
Armalite 20" stainless steel heavy target barrel and fsb, 1:8 twist rate
Generic scope-riser
Bushnell Elite 3200 4-12x40 scope on Burris Signature rings

Do I qualify for "AR PIMP in training?" How about "apprentice AR parts PIMP?" :D

Special thanks to the following people for their help with my project:

Inspiration: KevinB and RobMcC
Design: Hitzy and Falfan (hoping imitation is a form of flattery!)
Parts Procurement: Hungry, Hitzy, Wolverine Supply, Dlask

and the rest of the CGN Black Rifle gang for keeping the dream alive.

Now I have a whole winter to practice, before ORA Service Conditions 2006.

You got a real nice AR15 there, I hope it shoots as well as its looks. A nice 20" is next on my list.

Iam currious why did only KevinB and I, Inspire your build out of many gunnutz that built AR15 and posted?

Yeah, that stock puts the "fuggly" in f%$#-ing ugly!

Might put a magpul stock on, or a veltor. Been neglecting other projects to finish this one, so its time to go share the love with some of my other toys.

what, no bayonet + grenade launcher???? Nice gun anyhow, what's the lower worth??

The CGN lowers were a special run from Dlask. About $200.00 stripped, as I recall. I can't remember how many were made.

Love the look of a stainless barrel on a AR and from parts list it should be a good performer aswell.

I still like to know why only KevinB and I, Inspired you to build a AR15?

Until I saw some of the photos that you and Kevin have posted (and a few others too) I had always viewed the AR as a single gun, and not a "system." I now understand that the AR system is really a platform of mix and match components, easily swapped for the task at hand.

I'm a network nerd by trade, and component modularity is a "good thing" (tm) :) So I had to build an AR.....
