My first Black gun

those of you with both the AR15 and AR180 ...how do you like them compared to each other?
They are two different rifles. You can compare them on certain features but comparing them as a whole is a mistake. It's like comparing a Dodge deisel 4x4 to a Lamborgini.

They are both great vehicles, but not at the same thing.

Sorry. Who ELSE besides wolverine supplies, sells the AR-180 tactical handguards? There's a couple on stormwerks.com that aren't from wolverine.

Midwest industries makes them and even supplies Armalite with their rails. Midwest supplies Wolverine and they are our supplier. No one else that sells MI will ship to Canada. It requires export paperwork.

There are other rails that have been put on the 180b but are not specifically designed for it and have been modified to fit.

Your question has already been answered. You're only choice is Wolverine's. There is only one railed foreend for the AR180B and only one supplier sells it in Canada.

As for the other one's you see on the Storm Werkz site, pay me the money and I'll do one for you too. How ever, since there is a purpose built alternative, I recommend going with the MI rail.

Just remember that the MI is not a free float . Many people including myself have taken free float forends from Ar-15's and made simple adapters to fit the Ar-180. Armedsask took it further by using a Predator system from POF .
One of these days I am going to get a Lightweight Forearm from Yankee Hill .
When using an adapted forend, the way you clean the gas system is different than with the factory handguard. You take the front sight off and pull the whole gas system forward and off. To prepare the sights for this, have the ears of the front sight aligned with the ears of the rear sight so upon re-installation of the front sight with the gas system you have a consistant system. A good way is to set the rifle upside down on a smooth, flat counter-top and tighten the front sight base. I hope this helps, If you have any questions about the adapter send me an email and I will help as I can.
Josh
