Rule is, if it can light a match from close exposure, it's about the right power :D

I will admit that when it comes to lasers... all I know is that Sly-Stallone had a movie poster with a laser on his SMG and the catch phrase "They're the disease and He's the cure" (or something like that).

I just checked out that laser site posted above and I can't believe that you can do the things you can with them now (I mean in handheld format). That is so friggin coool!!

I might have to divert Christmas fundage... this is as close to the lightsabre I've always wanted since Grade 1 :D
 
I can't say anything about the LMT choice (1*), but if it was me go with the 16" POF piston upper with the Predator rail. Its somewhat smilar to the HK 416 in operation.The piston keeps the "top end" very clean and maintenance is a snap!

That was Cobra. Brigitte Nielsen was hot in that one.
 
Stallone used a Finnish SMG called the JaTiMatic. Do devilish...

Welcome to the disease RL1, screw that expensive "designer" VLTOR/Magpul/LMT junk, get a milspec upper and hang #### off it.

I looked at one with Buffalo horn handle while birthday knife shopping last week (right end of the pic)...it was out of my budget so I bought something else (dagnabit!) but I will have one someday!
