Hey everyone! I posted this up on the Canada air gun forum, and thought maybe you guys would like to see it, too! I love to show it off, so it is meant to be! Haha.
I built this thing from scratch, all myself, mostly on the lathe and the edge sander. The barrel is 1/2" smooth bore, 30" long. Handle is just tacked on. The action is mostly figured out, other than a trigger and proper spring pressure for the hammer. The air valve has mostly 5/16" orifices, pretty large. The plan is to add a 13ci non regulated tank to the rear to double as a stock and cheek rest. There are a few things left to work out, like balancing the springs, tuning the valve, placing the trigger and deciding on a trigger design. The barrel anchor tubes need to be tapped for set screws to tune the barrel and secure it better. Need to add fill and gauge ports to the air tank to valve coupler at the rear (you see its male threads). Oh and almost most importantly, some furniture up front (I am thinking wood or aluminum) to balance it all out. Before I finish it off, I am going to wait for my PAL (its in the mail!) to avoid any trouble.
Got inspired by some videos of the Sam Yang Dragon Claw. Actually the only reason I even did my PAL course was to get a Sam Yang Dragon Claw.
