Well got my first CZ finally. Well its for the wife but it puts her old ruger american to shame.

Still waiting on my DIP rail, and the 4 extra mags but it will be sweet. anything else I should know about these ?

In terms of....? That's an interesting one, looks like the "Canadian" edition but without the maple leaf design. I recall seeing the 455 American "Red" on CZUB at one point, I suppose that is it. I won't say anything else until you shoot it and come back with target results :) SK ammo seems to be the preferred diet for many CZs. The YoDave trigger kit of springs and shims is pretty much standard fare for new CZs, does a great job tuning up the trigger pull, and results under 1 lbs are easily achievable.

I got the DIP spring kit and the extended mag release on the way as well. I couldn't believe how expensive those metal mags were...lol...

I got a bunch of CCI green tags and MiNi mags to test accuracy. But the wife will just use it as her fun plinker.

I found a harris sbrm with kmw pod loc in the back of my safe that I had forgotten about and just ordered her a JSA Tactical small rear bag. That should have her covered for now.

Good looking rifle!
Hopefully those metal mags will work for you, some do some don't in the 455.
I have both and the poly mags are 100% functional.(and not prone to damage)
There are a number of threads on this over at RFC.
Good luck!
P.S. Try some SK Standard Plus, my 455vt likes them a lot.

Looks good, they are an amazing value for what you get. Who has/imports the DIP rail? They won't export to Canada directly AFAIK.

Congrats on the new CZ! It's a looker. :) I have mostly steel mags for my 452 but a couple of polymer ones are hiding among them. Having been on a gopher safari with that rifle (ran through thousands of rounds) I can say with some authority that the polymer ones are nicer to load/handle than the steel ones. Zero durability issues, but I don't drop or sit on my mags as rule. :) Regardless, congrats on the new rifle...CZs are the best value out there if you ask me.

Congratulations on the new rifle. I actually just got the same one & will be shooting the day after tomorrow! I had it on my "to try, to buy" list for a long time. I saw one in person at reliable ($540-550?!) while picking up another gun i bought. It was beautiful! So when frontier had it for sale $599 i had to get it. So happy i did

the new At-On Adjustable Gunstocks Boyds just released look promising. The wife's been bugging me for a blue laminated stock and I think those will fit the bill.

I noticed that some 455s have a hole in the end of the bolt handle, but some have solid bolt handles like 452s. My 455 American has a solid bolt handle. What's the reason for this?

What model of Sightron is that and rings? looks like a nice fit for bolt clearance. I'm need to decide on a scope and ring height for my newly acquired 455 American.

There's no reason for the different bolt handles. In the past some models had a hole in the end of the handle. For a long while they did not. And now it appears that some do again.
