Hoping some of you experienced guys could review what I caught on camera last night. I was told after hunting a spot for a month, that I can no longer go there!

[One of the locals let me know there are actually 7 stands already there, and only 3 bucks this year (Apparently a pretty crappy year for the area). They're all waiting for that one 8pt to come back before season ends, and are citing issues about safety if I shoot while in between two of the stands (ignoring the fact there is atleast 700m between them, and none of these ol' guys are hunting in the morning like me). Real shame, since I spotted a 6pt buck but couldn't get a clean shot on him first thing Saturday morning.]

I had to quickly find a new spot yesterday, as our season closes on Dec 4 and I REALLY want to have a successful first season. I guess it's luck or tenacity, but I managed to catch (maybe) 2 spikes on my camera already!
If there's any info you can share from my footage, it would be very appreciated.

The view at new location

What the deer (doesn't) see

that clump of trees on the rise in the second pic is a perfect hide
Just watch your movement and wind and hunker down.
I'd be tempted to hunt that from the ground and use some of the deadfall to make a small ground blind.
Not knowing anything about the area, It does look like a real nice ambush spot.

Go get em!

Just to the left of the tree in the center, with the broken log on a \| angle is the blind I set up with old everygreen branches ;) You see it in the first pic, with a small notch cut to rest my rifle when the time is right.
I guess it works a bit too well if people can't even see it haha

There's an old surveyor line that comes from the right end, a game trail from behind and to the left is the exit/more trail. This spot is essentially where 3 paths intersect. Wind seems to be in my face most of the time, and I'm a good 12' above the apple pile.

I am more interested in who and why you were told you can't hunt there!
Is it private land?

Exactly, if it’s crown land the op has every right to be hunting there. If I found a spot that that many people had blinds set up in I’d likely move along anyway and find a spot with less people but if I was told to “move along, this spots taken.” well I’d hunt it out of principle but I’m stubborn like that lol.

This.

Why can 7 people set up stands but you can’t hunt it?

on the other hand..... why would one want to hunt in a spot with 7 other tree stands ?
To me it sounds like the OP has set himself on a good path.
Get away from the 7 tree stands and find new ground that is possibly overlooked by the other hunters.
The OP seems like he has his head in the game and a decent little ambush spot he has seen sign in. That's what hunting is all about.
To me, I could care less about the situation with the 7 other tree stands, it just invites drama and frustration for the OP.

Hopefully the ambush spot he has posted pics of nets him a nice deer this season.

Don't b too disappointed if you don't get one your first season. Took me 3 years to get my first whitetail with a bow.keep trying and don't let other hunters discourage you

I hope you're making out alright so far hunting. I wouldn't pay those old boys no mind, if it's public land too bad for them. Keep at it and you'll get it figured out. And don't believe there are only 3 bucks in the area...maybe 3 that they know of.

Get in smartly and quietly before everyone else and maybe they’ll push the deer to you. Around here the majority of hunters do everything wrong and the only success they have is when the next guy is doing everything wrong too and ends up pushing the deer straight into them

Childhood best friend just took a 8point. Literally standing in a trail. He doesn’t bait, call, watch wind direction, had a smoke hanging out of his mouth. Buck came flying out in front of him on the trail. Spooked by a guy driving a atv on the next trail over.
