Would the more experienced members care to offer some input? I'm wondering if the trigger creep with improve with more use (or cleaning), whether 750 rounds without cleaning before a light primer strike is good/bad compared to other pistols, and perhaps a sight recommendation would be useful (although there's lots of info on them already)
You can not really remove all trigger creep. most is because the gun is not fully cocked and when you pull the trigger it cocks the last 20% or so.
you can do following things:
- 1 cent trigger job. consists of polishing all trigger parts. easy to do but only removes some pull weight and makes pull smoother
- different connector. it is like changing the gear ratio. makes pull lighter but longer and a bit mushier. often preferable
- different trigger system. I have Zev fulcrum and it lets you adjust pre and post travel. not cheap but feels better.
- if you can get it then get a johnny glock trigger. they can be made to be nearly like a 1911 trigger.
- lighter safety plunger and lighter striker spring. this will make pull lighter. we wont do this on a carry gun though and dont go to light
- trigger stop trigger block. lets you remove the over travel. hard to get and also not for a carry gun. not that we this issue here ....
at the end of the day a glock trigger is a almost double action glock trigger and always will. but they can be made to be 100% fine for a action shooting gun. But you didnt buy this for bullseye shooting anyways
for sights there are millions of options. I would avoid the open fiberoptics sights because they are flimsy. I like trijocon HD, there are also knock offs and lots of different choices
