W00t! I just got back from the range with my first gun.
I got my PAL in the mail this morning. Picked up a brand new Ruger 10/22 at Pullens, and headed on out to VFGPA. Lots of fun. Looking forward to lots more.
Now that's a thing of beauty! Make sure you clean the barrel out before you use it. Whatever gunk ruger puts in there does a hell of a number on your accuracy and you'll forever wonder if it shot better if you would have.

It shouldn't look dirty, its a new gun. Its more just a thick film that hardens when used without being cleaned... or atleast that was my understanding of it. Congrats on the Ruger, you're going to love it.
