Received my Seraphim Armoury Archangel 1911 a couple days prior from a trade on the CGN EE and just yesterday picked up my Colt M4 Carbine as my transfer notification just arrived. Promptly removed the handguards and added rails amongst other things! just got to wait the certificates to arrive and its range trip I go!

Welcome to the club. I hope you didn't pay too much for the Colt. It's an Expanse and has nothing to with an M4 other than the marking on the lower.

Great way to welcome a noob, tell him his new rifle sucks.

OP, welcome to the game, enjoy your toys, gets lots of practice! If your local club has any training courses or mentorship programs, take em! Then with the basics covered, practice.

I never said it sucks. Simply trying to inform him that their is a big difference between 6920/6921 and an Expanse. I'm sure that it will function just fine.

Too many people out there think they're getting a Colt at a great price when the only thing made by Colt is the lower. I blame Colt for this but I will educate people just so they're aware. I've seen plenty of parts in the EE the last year or so that people represent as being Colt when it turns out they're from an Expanse. Can you call it a Colt when it wasn't even assembled by Colt employees? Colt seems to think so.

OP, it may be a trick of the photo and lighting, but it looks like the handguard isn't sitting quite concentric to the bore, and is leaning upwards? I have never seen a clamp-on style of handguard like that with the "MRE" style of rail ahead of the gas block. You don't have anything mounted to it that would be hugely affected, but just check to make sure it's not going to bend your gas tube or something like that.

I think it's just the way the picture was taken (the grain of the wood floor and angle of rifle positioning makes it look bent sort of) but I'll double check it tmmrw

Also I think I might have astigmatism...... So I might have to sell off my (brand new) vortex RDS in favor of a scope......

I have got to say though, the trigger is VERY nice on the Colt m4 (although I know next to nothing about them) there is ZERO creep at all, you pull and it breaks.

That actually sounds like a great deal, congrats.

What handguard is on it? Don't recognize it.

Wow, you're a class act aren't you?

Now that the upper is on the EE you edit your post where you acknowledged that it's an Expanse. Classy. IIRC you said you paid $600 for the rifle and now your trying to flog the upper with craptastic NCStar handguard for $500? That doesn't even include the BCG? Crazy. This is exactly why I made my original comment, so guys like you don't take advantage of others that don't know the difference.

Caveat emptor!

Why don't you tell us all what model it is again? When I search Colt M4 carbine the only thing that pops up on Colts website is prohibited FA/Burst models.

congrats dude welcome to AR family .....now get tons of ammo ........safe shooting!
like your pelican set up

I had Seraphim warfighter 9mm from EE, gutted the internal replaced it EGW and Wilson combat parts
