my first hand gun ammo advice

As far as I know the Type 54 is NOT chambered for 9x19 (Luger).
The 7.62x25 is a shouldered bullet and is 6mm longer than the 9mm Luger. Do NOT attempt to shoot 9x19mm out of it.

Are you sure you don't have a M201-C? It looks like the 54 but is chambered in 9x19 Luger.

Sorry dude, you're wrong. They do make them with a 9mm barrel as well as the 7.62 round

i have 1 barrel marked 7.62x25, and one barrel marked 9x19.
plus mags to match
i know the 9x19 is parabelum (i know thats not spelt right)and i was wondering what the difference is between that and lets say regular browning 9mm military ammo,as i have used that before.

the norc 54 is indeed chambered for 9mm - it comes as a 7.62 and typically you do a barrel swap( it's in the box) and that's all you need to do- the mags are the same, and i found the good old winchester white box ( the dead cheap stuff) works about as good as everything else- BE DARNED SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT AMMO FOR THE RIGHT BARREL- either one will take a 9mm - i don't have access to 7.62 very easily, so the barrel is tucked safely away in the box it came in- besides, all my reloading stuff is 9mm, so that works as well
btw its parabellum, - so you're close- and there is no difference between 9mm unless you get something like 9mm browning long, largo, or something like that- put the two together and you'll see the difference
