I just finished shooting an attempted ladder test for my new remington 700 SPS Tac in .308, and the results are below. I'm not sure which groups are really the best ones to go with though... Shots 2 to 6 had the least spread with charge weights from 35.5gr to 37.5 gr of H4895. Shots 11 to 13 look good too, with 40 to 41 gr. So, if I am reading this correctly, I should be concentrating on the loads between 2 to 6 and 11 to 13 right? I'm thinking that if that's the case, 11 to 13 might be best for more even ignition...
Either way, I'm happy with the grouping for a $600 rifle, I think it's going to be a shooter.
Oh, loads were 168 gr Speer bthp match over H4895, full length sized federal cases, CCI 200 primers. Not the greatest for accurazy on the last 2 items, but it's all I got right now.
