As promised, pictures.

This is a 1944 No4MK1 T Less scope. I don't think it was ever issued.

The scope is a Mk3, with the serial number from another rifle. I think it has seen use.

That is a lovely old girl.

Either the rifle was issued and brought back in for repair, where it lost the original scope, or it never had a scope mounted on it.

There is no serial number on the top of the butt wrist, so I suspect it was never issued.

The scope and bracket on the other hand may be marked to each other. Can't tell from the pics.

The bayonet of course wouldn't have been issued with the rifle. Especially with the parade nickel plate on the scabbard.

To my knowledge, No4 MkI T rifles weren't issued with bayonets nor intended for use with them.

Attaching a bayonet will change the point of impact when shooting it.

That is one sweet rifle, if you don't mind me asking how much does one of those run a guy?

Well I was able to get ths one for a great deal. From what I've been told they will usually go between $2500 - $4500.

I payed at the low end of that. And also took home a couple winchester 1894 lever guns. 2 centennials (an RCMP and Klondike gold rush) and a pre 64.

There were quite a few available at the Orangeville gun show today, but none were as nice as that. Although there was a beautiful set of wood there for $200.00
