My first Moose !!!

Unreal but true, we got into the forest at 6:15 am this morning. And i shot my first moose at 6:45 am. Shot him at 400 feet with my Browning 7mm Mag. A young bull that Is 2-1/2 years old.

LoL... we did open up 2 beers each at 8:30 am. We actually would never thought that we would kill on the first hunting day and within the very first half hour of the day. But the beer was there and our hunting was done... what the heck!!!

Nice job. Nice animal in the pic. but I would have thought given the size of the body it was younger, I am no expert, I dont hunt them . Curious to know how age is determined on them though? Is it done by teeth? Or is there some way of determining age by antler size?
