Here is my first Norinco M14 rifle:

Awesome setup....
Am I mislead by the picture positioning, or is the front sight canted to the left (operator's view)?

I like the holosight on the side. Can you engage targets 100yds away with that?

No the front sight is straight, the angle of the picture is misleading.
The Holosight is zero'd for 30, because of the angle it is set at you have to aim at the targets right shoulder to hit centre mass of a stanadard IPSC target at 50 yards. For 100 I just use the scope. I set the holosight so that with both eyes open I can actually see both (holosight, and scope reticle) at the same time, if the target is far I use the scope, close the holosight. I have used it once at an IDPA match, it was not bad considering I used a load out of the book and have not yet set about tweaking it.
