Well finally last week I got to pick up my first over/under
12ga, in a CZ Woodcock, basicaly a huglu with CZ also stamped on the receiver, :dancingbanana:

The first thing that I really noticed was how much better it fit me than my Maveric 88, so much so that when ever it comes to mounting point of aim is spot on every time and when it come to felt recoil I hardly felt the last hundred shells fired connecting with the clays 90% of the time, this was the first thing that I noticed was how well it felt up against my shoulder and even when firing I can hardly feel the recoil:sniper:.
The finnish appears to be fine but in spots there are a few very small gaps in the wood/metal fit up around the receiver. the wood seems to be alright, nothing fancy.
The receiver is case hardend and ingraving has been kept down to a min.
The selective trigger feels light and crisp.
I should also mention that the CZ came with five removable chokes: cyl, imp cyl, mod, imp mod, full.

Congrats. First thing is, is that there is a world of difference between a Maverick 88 and a CZ O/U. The fit for you and the quality in the gun are worlds apart. From your pictures , the wood is a bit of an open grain with a satin finish. Most O/U's fit well to most people. Enjoy it to the max.Good investment!!

That's just it, when I picked the maverick 88 I never ever expected to be using for or even triing trap/skeet, I had only ever intended it for backpack/truck type use.
It wasn't untill I had more time to spend on this site and joined the local range that my intrest in the sport and shot guns in general got sparked:dancingbanana:.
The only thing I need to do now, is to swap my ear muffs for some ear plugs, if I keep wearing the muffs the finnish on the top of butt stock will disapear, oh well got that first scratch out of the way:p, and besides the muffs interfear with mounting.
