My first pistol (stainless Colt 1911) arrived today! With pics...

I like that gun. I checked at the listed seller and they have them on offer for about $1150 seems a good price to me. Stainless and the classic name and looks of Colt. Makes me wish I was rich! Maybe Lotto Max will come through!

The horse rollmark still makes me smile when I take it out of the safe.
 
A classic design with lines that can't be beat. Nice looking pistols.

I've been known to talk trash merely for enjoyment and razzment over the 1911 vs blah de blah, but truth is, it was my first pistol too,way back when. That big hole in the end of that thing, sure looks impressive.:)

Has anyone ever used their "hard plastic case"?

Mine are all collecting dust.

Good only to ship it to it's new owner.IMO:D
 
I recently bought my 4th. Colt 1911, .45. Each one a different model. I love them all. They are a great pistol. Yours looks great. I am sure you'll enjoy it. Have fun. Thanks for sharing the photos.
 
Can't go wrong with an good old fashioned Colt .45 acp.. Congats man !!

Colt 1991A1 was my first hand gun, of which I used in ipsc for 15 years... and served me well. I've modified plenty for ipsc, but lots fo the original parts lasted forever before breaking or wearing down.. eg. my extractor only broke around year 13-14..
where all these new costly guns come with match grade parts, but break or wear easy and need replacing with better parts...

Good solid Gun, the Colt is !!!

Now go shoot thousand of rounds and ship me the brass...:D
