Alright I should be getting my restricted back in the mail within the last two weeks and I've been eying up the TT-33's that are for sale on the Ellwood Epps site. I plan on making a trip up there so I'd like to have a few general questions answered before I make the long haul to buy it.
The ammunition is not common, Ellwood does sell it but it's the Luger variant and not the Tokarev, I saw on another site that these two types were interchangeable but I'd like to know that for sure before I go buying cases of this stuff. Also due to it not being common is there a chance that this ammunition would become harder and harder to get my hands on as time goes on? I wanted to stick to a 9mm calibre gun but I love everything WW2 and the Tokarev TT-33 is on the top of my list of things to buy in my lifetime.
One more question. I am not familiar with the sale and transfer of restricted firearms. Say I walk into the store and purchase the TT-33, I am under the assumption that I need to provide the gun club that I am affiliated with correct? If I am not registered with a gun club no sale right? Is there any other piece or pieces of information I am required to provide outside of what is stated above and my RPAL card?
Thanks for the help in advance. I know you guys answer questions like these a lot I'm just rather confused with a few things at the moment and I'd hate to come back from Epps empty handed.
