My first real cool pistol -

Ah man, I would love to even place my unworthy eyes on one of those again. TSE sold theirs and haven't been able to drool over one since.

Only .45 ACP that comes close is a Springfield Operator or a Sig Sauer GSR

The Mark 23 isn't that big. I ordered mine without handling one first so I was afraid that it might be too big for my average size hands; not the case at all. Heck, even my 11 year old nephew has no problem shooting it.

Here it is beside my 1911.

Very nice laser/light and fake can, may I ask where you got it and what you paid for them?

Also, did you have a problem finding your Mark 23 since they have been discontinued?

The Mark 23 was purchased here on EE.
I have been shopping for one for about 2 years hmmmin & hawing about it.

I figured I should jump on it cuz it was only for $1600. w/ship
came w/ 4 mags and the HK deployment bag. Used as u can probably tell but none the worse for wear. ie: will shoot 2"moa Im sure - I just cant.

I actually looked into getting a real LAM and found one but for $1500(used) I passed on it cuz I dont hate my money that much..

SO I decided to go for the next best thing - the TLR-2 from StreamLight. I got this in Toronto from Tactical Products Canada.com Great bunch of guys BTW. $370Can BTW this fits real nice on my XD40 as well.

The light bracket is from Rhynotek: Mark23 laser/light rail adapter - best price I got was $140.USD

Finally the MFI can is from HK Parts.net $150 USD Adam is great to deal with
also - since the can is faux, its treated as a paintball part. The can sleeve is made of alu and with the marking just like on the real thing.

One great site ! The reason for me hmmming about purchasing a Mark23 was SPARE parts. Esp. since its now a discontinued item.

This site has helped me out lots - in fact Ive placed an order for a barrel for the gun and spare "o" rings.

Since the pistol was coming from AB to ON it took FOREVER for all the paperwork - I was actually nervous about putting out $1600 and not seeing it for 2months. I get this call from CFO asking about it etc. But in the end, well u saw the pics. Im still pissed over the substandard service from these overpaid bureaucratic clerks but thats how things are run here in ONT.
(In Wyoming this would have taken 3-5days max.)

I gotta admit the damn gun is not very balanced with all the crap attached to it. AS by itself the pistol is OK - works more gooder with gloves on.

I had an IMI Desert Eagle 357mag(an even bigger gun!) and this gun fits much better and gives me 3 more bullets!

My other pistols are a Norc 1911 and Springfield XD40 and they both have a nicer fit / feel to them w/o gloves on.

Congrats on the great deal you got on your Mark 23, I'm not going to tell you what I paid for mine brand new.

As for wearing gloves I have to agree, the trigger tends to bite a bit.
