My first Red Rifle ! 1950 SKS Tula refurbed

Very nice... we'll look back on these bargain price days and wish we didn't buy a few more for future use and enjoyment. A better rifle than many priced 4x to 10x more. What's not to love?
 
Nice buy! Cool video, I am not smart enough to make a video with the words at the beginning. Good job. Your the first guy I have seen that shoots with bayonet out. You should have ran up and stabbed the target, would have really made the short film.

I rather do the ammo... you know once it's gone it's gone but you will find plenty of rifles still around might not be the same price but... ammo runs out..
 
I like your style, I agree I try and buy as much ammo as I can afford. I also "think" I shoot alot more then I really do. Also that PVC stand is a neat idea I got this fold up metal one that you slide a board into some slots and staple targets too. The steel ammo shoots holes through the metal like butter if ya miss(I like to put it too far away and shoot to fast). I'm going to build a PVC one and keep the metal stand for something with a scope and bi pod.
Ps I noticed you don't have any wipe out showing in your pic of cleaning supplies its great(patch out is cool too)Maybe not for an Sks since you probably just clean it with hot water. However it's a must have for anything else brushless cleaning ! No brush no scraping the barrel.

Absolutely.
I buy 2 or 3 cases a year and have a healthy little stockpile and only buy the stuff in cans.
This suff is going to run out eventually and the price is going to bring tears to the eyes.
If I had the funds Id buy a case a month...........hell of a pension plan :)
 
I was actually planing on buying a pig head from the butcher $6.00 for that exact purpose. But when they brought it out it was all flattened and deformed so I took a pass on it.

Thank you for all the comments! my local Canadian Tire is bringing in non milsurp amo new amo. $14.99 for non corrosive FMJ and $16.99 for corrosive soft point for box of 20. This is way cheaper then the $28.99 I was paying for my 303.

The owners managers and most of the employees (i'm friends with one of the managers) have all bought sks's and will continue to bring in different manufactures of amo. I will be buying some milsurp cans for sure when I can.

I took the spring apart for two reasons, the first was knowledge, and the second was inspection and full cleaning.
 
You know you can get 1440 rounds for 249.00 right? It's steel core steel cased, and corrosive. Maybe it's not allowed at your range idk not trying to sound like an ass or anything this is just what I buy. I figure I have to clean the damn thing anyways

Another plus is it comes on stripper clips, so you end up with 120 - 10 shot strippers or 240 5 shot strippers if you cut them and make 5 shot clips. Not a bad deal in my books!!
