My borosilicate glass bed cracked a bit after some large size PETG prints. But I was using diluted white glue applied with a foam brush. I found it gives a much smoother finish on the side that's touching the build surface. It worked but maybe too well...
From my so far limited experience, I find it best to separate/scrap build from glass quickly while it's still hot, let glass cool off, then rinse glass with warm water to remove glue and some dishwashing soap to remove hand oils.
The heated glass helps spread it out very evenly.
I just bought an Ender 5 pro and receiving it tomorrow or Tuesday. I've been reading as much as I can on 3d printing and it's a lot to take in!! I read that people are also using hair spray. Would that be enough to stick properly instead of the glue stick? I also have a glass bed coming with this printer. I ordered a bunch of pla, Petg and abs filaments to get started.
