My first rifle, a Mosin Nagant

Thanks all for the welcome.

I'm going to probably keep this as stock as possible and probably snag another one for modding.

Haven't had time to go shoot it yet, but I've been having too much fun with the snap caps....lol
 
Some people consider the Mosin to be simplistic and crude, but its also reliable, nostalgic, and fun to shoot. Ammo is cheap. Schits and Giggles are plenty.

I go deer hunting with mine every fall. It should have no problem dropping a deer with iron sights up to 150 yards.
 
Finally got to take it out and it didn't blow up in my face.

It blowing up would be last on the list of worries I'd think. They were designed to be successfully operated by conscripted peasants.

Yeah...however there's always a fear that I didn't check everything and who knows what the previous owners did to it.....

Surprisingly, no windage adjustment is really needed, but definitely shoots high.
