I have been eyeballing Sako for a while now (im a big tikka guy) and thought i would put together my affordable dream deer rifle. she weighs in at 9lb 7oz, not the lightest hunting rifle but not the heaviest either. the bolt shroud and stock bottom "metal" have been replaced with atlasworx aluminium parts and i installed a titanium bolt handle. the scope is a bushnell 3-12x44 LRTSi sitting in a set of vortex pro aluminum rings. I have owned many scopes and i keep going back to the Bushnell LRHS and LRTS they are great bang for the buck not to big and compete with any of the mid/high end euro optics i have owned over the years. the rifle seem to shoot well under an inch with federal premium 165gr BTSP and thats what i will be using to take a deer this year. hope you guys enjoy the pics :) and good luck with hunting this year!

Good looking rig and sounds like it is giving good accuracy. Hope you enjoy hunting with it!

I have 4 myself, with one being a custom lh AV in 7MM STW that will shoot 1" groups at 300 yards with Federal Premium 160gr AccuBonds, when I do my part!
The other 3 are factory offerings; two LH Model 85 Hunters in 6.5x55 and 9.3x62 that are shooting 1/2" groups at 100 yards so far with factory ammo, and the 3rd is a lh L691 in 30-06 with full length stock that is new and unfired (still).
Very smooth actions and I think are quality rifles that offer a good value as compared to a custom rifle with the same features.
 
I bought my first Sako in 1966. It was a single shot .222 action and I made a .17-222 with a custom stock out of it...

Sako have always produced a nice product but I think the older ones are nicer than the modern designs.
 
Sakos are beautiful rifles. Ive been buying/selling guns for a few years (2014ish). I finally jumped off the fence and spent big bucks on a couple sakos. Both 300 win mag. The carbon light I intend to use on my sheep hunts, and my grey wolf on moose/elk hunts. Ar first I was paranoid of scratching them, but then realized that I bought these rifles for hunting and not display units. The marks tell a story. Ill keep these guns til my time is up.

Nice rifle. A hunting buddy invested in the same one in a 300WM a couple years ago upgrading to a new rifle for himself. All of our moose camp, guys all shoot Sako m75 rifles, so Sako is a common rifle in our camp.

Ive had a dozen or so, and several tikkas. Have four M75s that are here to stay. The stock pattern fits me perfectly.
