My first shotgun - 870 express super magnum - Barrel adjustment q

HA ha Iguess I didn't read the whole manual, cause I have the same shotgun and I threw on a smoothbore 20'' barrel, but have never had any problems thou... what kind of adjustment is required?
 
you could pick up a Grizzly that already has a short barrel for not too much more than the cost of a short barrel - then youd have another complete gun you could config how you like. you can never have too many guns :D

it might be more convenient than constantly unscrewing the knoxx stock and replacing it with your normal stock for hunting.

just putting another option out there...

And I knew that all 870 barrels are interchangeble, but to my surprise manual says "NOTE: All Model 870™ 12-gauge barrels are interchangeable without adjustment, except the Model 870 12-gauge Super Magnum" -
does it mean I would need an adjustments every time I swap, or it is one-time adjustment, or it is not possible at all on that model?

No adjustments needed. Remember though, if you put a shorter barrel that is marked with 3" chamber on it, you cannot use 3 1/2" shells.

I'd agree with that. :) I think this is what the owners manual is refering to, when they say all execpt the supermagnum. (3 1/2") . They don't want you putting a 3" chambered barrel on your 3 1/2" reciever, and accidentally popping a 3 1/2" shell in there.

I have a 870 supermag and have swapped the barrels out and I did'nt adjust anything. I just patterned it to make sure I knew were the pellets were going. That should be done to any shotgun though if you swap the barrels.
