Maiden voyage.
20x rifled slugs
10x 00-bucks
45x 7.5 target loads
(all 2.75")
The recoil is pretty huge with slugs but completely controllable, not painful, and just plain fun.
From rifle experience, my eyes like ghost rings so that's what I have on this shotgun. I was almost looking forward to having to play with the windage & elevation but without adjustment I was able to put 5 slugs into an 8.5x11" piece of paper at 50 yards. Once.
Could repeatedly put all 9 pellets on paper from 15 yards with each 00 round. I don't know if that's considered lame or not but I'm very content for now with that.
Great gun!
Looking forward to trying it against some clays. It was suggested in another thread that Abbotsford or Poco ranges might be cool with a newbie behind a 12.5" barrel but that the Vancouver (Richmond?) club might not be. I'll give them a call...
