Congratulations..that first buck is always a memorable experience. And you have a great story to go with him. My first buck went down to a .303 also and in this day and age of "mega magnums' its good to know that the deer are not as "armor plated" as some would lead us to believe. Of course at 10 yrds... close enough, dumb enough and long enough is the way I like em !! Patience pays off... way to go.
