My first!

how does that Tapco mag work in there?

Interesting you should ask.....

Just got back from an attempted trip to fire off a couple hundred rounds, well, I managed to shoot 2, yes 2 whole rounds through the gun!:mad::mad:

The mag will not feed with this stock. The lips on the Tapco restrict the round from chambering! What a POS!@!!!!!!!:mad:

Im worried if I make adjustments to the mag that it wont hold any rounds, I think Im f@#ked !!!!

Im heading for the beer fridge!

I am shocked and amazed that that a shoddy plastic mall ninja outfit doesn't work on an SKS. This is the fist time I've ever heard fo this problem.

LOL, yea yea, I know..... I would never buy a Toyota or Nissan, but this is more for the cool factor, I guess........

I paid $350 for the gun with 2 Tapco mags, plus got the original stock with. Ill get it working...... :)

I compared a SKS metal mag to a Tapco. Those lips on the top of the mag are about half as long as on the SKS mag as on the Tapco. Going to get the file out and get fixing!

So I put about 80 rnds through it today. Worked good after some minor Dremel tool adjustments.

But............ I have to operate my SKS as a bolt action. It will not cycle like a semi auto. Any thoughts? It will partially eject the empty, but I have to pull the bolt back to get it cycled.

I put a tapco stock on my SKS and it didn't work to well. The saftey didn't work after that so I removed it, After every round fired the receiver would pop out and the trigger group would come flying off. I will eventually get around to modifying the stock to get it to work properly. The SKS looks mighty cool with the stock on. It just didn't function worth ####.

One thing I learned about crapco mags is they are all bloody different. Absolute ####e,but,if you just keep cycling rounds thru they get better. When I first got mine and the stock too, I couldnt get a round into the bore, not even if I just loaded single rounds thru the top. But I had money tied up in the thing and now it seems to work flawlessly. 300 rounds thru her yesterday not a hitch. And for giggles I even took the Bastard file to the old wood stock and fitted the mag..........flawless, gotta say it looks hot too.

Guess I'm saying these Crapco items, mag and stock are ####e but they can be made to work......but theyre still ####e. When you have matching stock and mag the very least you should expect is drop in functionality...and Crapco doesnt give you that...did I say ####e :)
