Besides being *refreshed*. Can someone give me an idea about it's worth??

Its a commercially sported job, done in the UK, likely by PH. That's why the receiver ring is drilled and tapped, the barrel cut, and the ramp front sight installed. Rather than getting synthetic stocks - these will be injection moulded tupperware - look for a sporting buttstock. The difference in handling with a higher comb and real pistol grip is remarkable. If the bore is decent, this should be a perfectly good hunting rifle.

kewl...

Think I'll find a synthetic stock for it :)
Can someone tell me whats up with the front sight? It looks ...###

Go for the synthetic and a 5 round mag, they look great. Here is a pic of one of mine with a Burris scope 1.5 - 6. shoots great and looks good. I chopped the front sight off, it was a free gun and scope and nothing to lose.

fairly standard gunsmith quality chop job, not a bubba hacksaw.

value, $125 you might get, I'll go as high as $75 but I'm a cheap bastard :D

any other markings on the top of the barrel ?

Oh and I think it's a Maltby, strange serial number BK18

To BB or to LB

BB or LB...long Branch??

I agree with the suggestion of getting a monte carlo style butt stock...it comlpetely change the feel,,, I am wondering why they were not equipped with a better butt stock in the first place as Mil rifle!?

Your rifle looks like it would make a fine bush gun.

The fiberglass stock isn't a bad idea, but I wouldn't put a scope on it.

The peep sights are great on those rifles and you have the option of fast reloads with stripper clips.
