My friend's ammo stack.

The thing with ammo is, it’s not how much you have, but how much you’ve had that’ll make the difference.
These things don’t aim and shoot themselves. Having a stockpile is great. Knowing how to use it is priceless.

prices keep going up so might be an ok investment :)

Better te have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.

Still pretty impressive to me, I am more into stocking components, moulds and lead lol.

I'm just curious as that is a significant financial expenditure, does your friend keep it under lock and key, in case of a break in. In a time of shortages this would be a windfall for a burglar!

Dont know why, but this thread kinda reminds me of those r/CanadaGuns posts where people who just got their PAL post their “collection” so far because they’re so proud.... of their sks, mosin, maverick 88, 10/22, 870 express, tokarev, and random cooey break action. Or sometimes they try to brag about an ammo stockpile but its literally what most people go through in a couple months.
I have so much ammo that I prefer to fill ammo cans with loose rounds to save space. I just scoop my ammo before heading to the range so knowing how much I actually have would be tough to track. It’s like a mini Bulk Barn in my basement Laugh2

It's a bit silly for sure but showing off is just human nature. It's hard not to get a kick out of guys that list their collections in their signature though...

No 308 though?
Is it his CQB drawer?

Impressive collection. I take it your buddy is more of a sport shooter since I'm not seeing any big game hunting round.

His words...

I have never seen a zombie I can't put down with 5.56mm.

He doesn't hunt, mostly plays real life shooting games in has back 40.

He has a shooting range at home that would make any sport shooter jealous. He has about 2 acres of action shooting area with barriers and obstacles. It sits in a valley on his 200 acre farm, invisible from any road. Awesome.

He won't need the handgun ammo.

You may not need yours, and can hand it in or stop buying it or whatever.

Just like silver it may fluctuate a little, but overall it should hold it's value. At worst it's worth 80% of what he paid... unless ammo becomes prohibited, lol.

It is all in locked cases, behind a locked vault door which is hidden behind a false wall, in a locked room. Even with carts and dollies right there, it takes two of them 8-10 minutes to load the ammo they want for bug-out. Yes they practice and time everything.

Now that is a bit over the top lol.

Definitely an ammunition wet dream for most. There are some guys who have more 223 or 308 than all of that. They usually keep their mouths shut.

He is missing a few 308 win and 7.62x51 NATO, probably a few case of 7.62x39mm and 7.62x54r then voila, he starts on the right track.

Once he starts have a few 20mm or bigger hen he is getting serious.

He was laughing when I told him some of the comments, and I replied for him (because he ain't getting no inter-webs-spyin-gear in his house!) lol.

This one I don't need to ask him, I've heard it before.... "WTF grumble dirty commie, rabble bastards, grumble, pinko sum #####es, IN MY HOUSE???? grumble, grumble, fcukers, I don't fkn think so" but it would go about 30 seconds, and he'd be sweating before it was over. It is a fun button to push some days.
