Those stocks are simply beautiful. I have really grown to love that oil finished wood. The flat finish really makes that grain look unique and eye catching. Plus, you really did a nice job on that CZ.

I need to learn how to post pics, I have a really nice pair of CZ 452 fulll stocks in 17 HMR and 22Lr, plus a beauty new Mannlicher from Steyr in 222. FS

How well did the oil rub on. Have a CZ 455 22 MAG coming in the mail. Want to sand it and tru-oil it.

You don't have to sand it... just rub it down with 0000 steel wool and Tru-Oil right over top... Rub with 0000 between each coat. IME let each coat dry completely before rubbing and applying the next coat... I like at least six hours between coats... this will give you a more even, durable finish.

Only reason I was thinking about sanding/striping is the one I am getting is not brand new. Has some safe kisses and a possible colour change. That being said I don't have physical possession yet either.

Some nice pictures there Fellas... Thanks for sharing.
I have had a 10-22 since 1968 with a fullstock, plain no checkering,
Its been a good, reliable little rifle.
