I put on all the goodies.
Timney Trigger, Burris 3-12x Scout scope
Archangel stock
Bipod (NCStar, until I find the harris ones with swivel that i like)
Removed front sight...
S&K Style Front leaf replacement scope mount from scopemounts.com a fantastic place and people.
Custom muzzle brake made from the original bayonet that the rifle came with.

Ohhh and I used an absolutely mint 1932 Hex receiver nagant. The bore is perfect, the bolt doesnt require b!tchslapping, the crown is nice....

All I need is a bent bolt handle, because I would really like a tactical knob. The round ones are a bit slippy. I was gonna use the sling stud to mount the bipod but i didnt have any around the workshop table... so I used the rail that came with the stock. Handy install. Very well designed.

Not since i finished it and made some adjustments/changes in order to get the scope to zero in...
SGGC is open again though so i might just pop out there..

i'm building her twin... only differences will be a round receiver mosin, and a rail instead of that scope mount style.. so a person could mount anything they want, with more flexibility, any rings they like etc.

I suppose someone might want to pick it up off me when i get it done.
 
and the boots just look badass because theyre canadian made...

I decided that the rifle was soviet built but canadian MADE. ;)

Those will be my "i'm kickass and so is my toy" boots.

they are shiny just like me :p
 
Almost everything from Hical.ca (rifle, stock, mags)
S&K style scope mount custom made in america... beautiful design, and no drilling/tapping... unlike the RSI one that requires a gunsmith to do right. Scopemounts.com its an ingenius system.
I got the muzzle brake from another part of the states. their website is down but i emailed them at info@riflemods.com / bryandcathey@gmail.com

interesting note.. neither of the products (scope mount or muzzle brake) are sold in canada anywhere.. but both are legal to ship across the border :)

since lots of mosins will not fit bayonets other than the one they came with, or you have to try a dozen to get one to fit... its best to ship him your working bayonet.

I have three here that wont fit other rifles... yet after he has worked it into a muzzle brake, the one i had now fits all three mosins nicely.... must resize just a tiny bit with the fabrication process... lovely!
 
Got better pics of the mag? And how it inserts into the stock/receiver?

Long shot, but I'm wondering if it would work in a valmet m78 in 308.

Disregard, I see there is no front shelf to rock and lock the mag in with.
