Just finished setting up my G19 the way I wanted.

It received the following.

  • 3.5# Connector / NY1 Olive Trigger Spring
  • Vickers Magazine Release
  • 10-8 Performance Sight Set
  • Hogue Grip
  • Lone Wolf Butt Plug:redface:
  • G17 Trigger

I'm not sure if I'm sold on the Hogue as ultimately I'd like to get grip reduction and stippling done.

Anyways here are quick pics.

I have a G23 that is being outfitted the same way. :D

That's sick man! i love it!! I'm planning on picking up a glock 17 when I get my license but after seeing this.. I think I might pickup a 19! I've never really liked it cause of the extended barrel, but it really doesn't look that bad... at least the one you have

Looks great! What's the diff between the G17 and G19 trigger? I replaced the spring on mine (It had a new york when I got it) and it's much better now. I was considering an extended mag releas but thought that it might lead to accidental mag dumps so I decided against it.

Is the NY trigger 5.5 lbs, isn't that standard for the 17 now?

New york is 8lbs. The regular spring is 5.5 and the light spring is 3.5. I think they make a 12lb trigger too but I can't see anyone firing that accurately. I had real accuracy issues with the 8lb spring, I was considering selling the gun until I switched out to the 5.5lb.

I like G19s but I am curious about one thing. Is there any advantage to a G19 over a G17 in Canada? It seems the longer barrel negates the size advantage the G19 has in the States. Lastly, I use a 3.5# trigger in my G17 and it is great. Regards, Richard:)

My G17, G19, and G27:

one advantage of the 19 over the 17 is the size. people with smaller hands find it easier to handle the 19. you are right. in the states it is extremely popular for CCW reasons which would not apply here.

personally, i bought a 19 over a 17 due to the size reason mentioned above.

Personally, in a 9mm Glock I prefer the G19 over the G17. I have 12(6) so an unmodified G19 is what I'd be after. But the non-prohib ones with the barrel that sticks out a bit isn't so bad either.

I've shot both the G26 9mm and I prefer it to the G27 .40 cal for comfort of shooting. I've shot both in unmodified form [original configuration] and find the G27 torques quite a bit in the hand compared to the G26. Although, I can shoot both pistols well.

I got a Canada Post notification that mine was shipped out by Questar today.I was planning a trip to the range this Sat. so the dilema over which pistol to take is solved. Zahaaahhhaha.
