I bought my K98 about 30 yrs ago out of Montreal, it cost me an extra 20 bucks to get the extra selection (matching serial numbers)...

What is the value of this gun (German K98, 90-95% bluing, all matching serial numbers), in very good to excellent condition? It has one light scribe on the tang safety which reads (5A,or SA) which I think was put there by the importer...

What is the value of this gun...any ideas?

OOPS my mistake! It's not a "sliding tang safety" just the regular "flip over" type that is common to these guns...sorry about that...I will try and get some pics...
 
its worth noting just send to me :) ill give u 20 haha
if its all matching and full stock it could be worth 1200-2000 or even more depends on the buyer and what shape and what markens are on it and i want pictures haha
 
First off, we need some pics. We also need more info such as year, factory, if its all matching, bore condition etc.
 
Wow shes a beaut! Definitely worth quite a bit. Someone on here who is more knowledgeable about their values should be able to give you an estimated value.
 
I also have a K98 cleaning kit, a bayonet (not matching) and a original box of 8mm ammo from 1944 as well...The bayonet has 41&SW on it...whatever that means?

I'm thinking so. Good clear pics of the top of the roll stamps, side of the receiver etc? What Waff numbers?

When you say matching numbers are the numbers all stamped? If stamped are the small parts in the same font/size as the number on the receiver? Are any of the numbers re-struck? Is there any electropencil? Are there any serial numbers beyond the usual four major components (ie are the bands numbered?) Does the top of the bolt sleeve look like it was ground down?

So many questions. Answers determine worth.

There are serial numbers on the stock on the front band, bolt,(bolt handle, bolt shroud) barrel, reciever, stock, floor plate and on front of magazine all stamped and all same size except for stock...the only electro penciling is on top of the safety...nothing is ground on this gun...

They look like the German Eagle and are stamped...one marking I can see looks like a shield with dot written and then a line underneath with the number 11 stamped underneath the line...all inside the outline of a shield on the barrel
