My German K98

It is definitely a refurb.
I will point out why for your info.
-Dot44 stocks were not externally numbered or marked. So serial number, and k13 at
wrist are not german applied. Likely a post war stock.
-Trigger guard should be stamped but looks milled(may be original but doubtful)
-Front sight protector is not german
-The czechs/yugos/russians electropenciled safeties to match sometimes. Not german applied.

Based on recent pricing I think $450 would be a fair price for this gun. If anymore parts matched, ie bolt, bands, etc (no electro) it would be worth a little more. Also worth mention is that Dot44 are a very common year and code.

x3 can you post a pic of the top of bolt handle serial #, and the receiver serial # ?

Sometime in 44 I believe they switched from receiver serial to strictly barrel serial, so depending on letter block, and the fact that its on the barrel, it likely isnt one.

The serial numbers all match...

Yes, but the Czechs matched Serial Numbers too...

Pictures might help determine if yours is a Post War remarked Czech on a German wartime Barreled Receiver, or if the serials are legit WW2 German serials.

Czech "matching" gun = $450

German "matching" gun = $1000 +

Yours is still most likely a Czech refurb, because of the Czech VZ24 sight hood, extra serial numbers, etc...

Sorry Boys, with the K10 and K13 Inspection stamps on the stock and the Electropenciled Safety......

It's a DDR or an East German Vopo Rework.

All DDR Vopo do not look the same in the rework so don't let that fool you.

Value $400-$600.

It is also on the side of the reciever (serial number)...also the serial number on the buttplate as well...the letter "a" under
the serial number on reciever...have no idea what that means...
