My Glock Build Thread

The Stainless guide rod is one of the only upgrades i put in all my Glocks. There is negligible weight increase, and i doubt you could even measure any difference in recoil.

I can't see cracking the frame with one, as it doesn't change the spring rate, that said, i also use a frame buffer in all mine as well. The .45 is a pretty low pressure round, and doesn't beat things up.

What i do find is the slide runs smoother with the stainless rod in place.

All mine are Gen3, doubt that makes a difference.

Bump! Here's my "Glock build", besides the obvious stippling, I put in a 3.5lb connector, the NY1 trigger spring, G34 mag release, G34 extended slide stop, and an Insight M3 Tan.

Not really a build, but I stippled the frame myself. Let me know what you think of my Gen 3 G17 OD.

I ordered a ZEV mag well and mag release which should be here any day now. Im also going to send my slide off to DP custom works to have the slide cut. Then ill recoat it in the same OD green, but with a semi gloss instead of flat.

The minimum barrel length restriction means that you'll need to look for the magic number of 106mm. Anything 106mm, or anything over that, and you're golden.
