My Gen 4 Glock 17 told me he wants a holster.

Now I told him that he doesn't need one & that he only wants one to look cool at the range & for tacticool operations but he won't listen. He's a lefty BTW & his budget is less than 100 Canadian pesos. (That's his budget but it's my money, so I say way less than that) He also wants something that will minimize holster wear so I assume that means leather?

What sort of ride/attachment method?

Safariland holsters are suede-lined. (Except the 7TS series, which doesn't need any lining.) They don't wear the finish too much, though I think holster wear adds character to duty-type guns.

Your Glock speaks to you? And you answer it?

Okay.....

Does it only speak German, and you answer it in German?

Or does it speak English to you with a heavy German accent?

Not a fan of the carbon fibre look.
Use black Hogue holster for my Gen4 Glock17

Our polymer formed Carry Holster has a patented Automatic Retention System (ARS™).
When the handgun is holstered, it "locks" into place, providing an extra level of security over the standard open top friction style holsters.
A simple straight draw is possible when disengaging the ARS with your thumb while obtaining a natural shooting grip.
A draw angle adjustable paddle and belt plate are included to customize your holster.

Kydex is easier on the gun than leather, leather is actually quite hard on gun finishes - smooth out means rough in, take a look at the inside of most leather holsters, it's like a scrub brush. Unless you're running a Summer Special, which I doubt you're looking at.
